Debra McDaniel, PMP, PMI-ACP

President

Debra is a native Augustan with more than 22 years of IT experience. She currently works as an IT Project Manager at the Augusta University. Experienced, well-organized and meticulous IT professional with strong technical and project/program management skills.  She received her B.S. from Paine College in Management Information Systems and her M.S. from George Washington University in Project Management. Debra has been a member of PMI since 2007 and obtained her Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) in 2012.  In 2016, she joined the PMI board for the Augusta-Aiken Chapter and assumed the role of Vice President Membership.  Along with administrative membership support, she develops strategies to increase and sustain membership and act as lead for the chapter membership campaign.

During her current tenure and through the efforts of the entire board of directors, the chapter was recognized as being a part of the 500 Club as part of the Refer-A-Member program, recognition for membership exceeding 400 members and one of only 2 chapters in Region 14 to have the highest 1st year retention score.  Debra recently began recruiting volunteers to develop a membership team that will focus on membership recruitment and retention activities.  Debra has been married for 34 years to Robert McDaniel, a retired Army First Sergeant who now works as a Communications Course Manager at Fort Gordon and the mother of two wonderful sons. Debra loves people and always looks for ways to support and encourage them to be their best self.  She is excited about this opportunity to continue to serve the profession and her community through PMI.

Dan Minahan, PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM

Past President

Mr. Daniel Minahan is the Director of Software Development at TaxSlayer, a software and technology leader in Augusta, GA. Prior to TaxSlayer, Dan served as the VP, Intelligence & Strategic Programs at Zapata Technology, Inc. Dan worked for Booz Allen Hamilton, a Fortune 500 firm for five year, sand prior to joining Booz Allen, Dan served in the United States Army for over eight years as a Signals Intelligence Analyst.

 

Mr. Minahan earned his Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Project Management from University of Phoenix and a Master of Science in Project Management from Boston University. He holds numerous certifications to support his background in management and project management.

 

Mr. Minahan is married to his High School sweetheart Krystie and together have three children, two girls and one boy. He likes to spend time with his family, read, watch movies, and stay current with the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and Boston Bruins in his spare time.

Jodie Hammerberg, PMP, PMI-ACP

President Elect

Jodie is a Navy Veteran and a Program Manager for Mission Essential at Fort Gordon. She has more than 10 years of program and project management experience, with six years’ experience managing a large $20M+/year program. She is PMP and PMI-ACP certified and holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies and an Associate of Arts in Arabic. She is also a graduate of Leadership Augusta (Class of 2019) and is working towards a Master of Fine Arts in Writing.

Jodie has been an active member of the chapter since 2014. She teaches PMP and PMI-ACP prep classes on a regular basis and served as the Director of ACP Training from 2017 to 2019. Jodie lives in North Augusta with her husband and four kids. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, attending concerts, and getting outside with her family. Hailing from a small town in Texas, she is also a devoted Cowboys fan and would like to one day attend a game at the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium!

Nikolas Hartwig

VP Administration

Nikolas Hartwig is a graduate of University of South Carolina Aiken, who graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He has worked in the intelligence community for the past 12 years as a signals intelligence and geospatial intelligence analyst.

 

Nikolas is a former Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps he deployed to Afghanistan in 2012 as a member of a signals support team, serving as team leader. After leaving the USMC Mr. Hartwig worked as a defense contractor at Fort Gordon for Mission Essential and MAG Aerospace.

 

Nikolas received his project management professional certification in 2018.

Amy Richardson

VP Finance

Amy Richardson currently volunteers as the Chapter's Vice President of Finance. She stepped in last fall when the Board Member in the position had to move out of state and is finishing the current term in their place. During her short time in this role, Amy has transitioned the Chapter to an online accounting software, leveraged a new Chapter debit card to reduce the number of Board Member reimbursements needed and to take advantage of auto bill pay when available, streamlined online payment collection efforts, and combined Chapter document storage to cloud storage. She is also part of the planning committee for the Chapter's annual Professional Development Day (PDD) to be held in November 2020.

As a local small business owner, Amy strives to provide back office solutions to other small business owners who have tasks/projects they need outsourced. Examples are email or calendar management, setting up or running their social media channel(s), building a custom website, helping with a big project, bookkeeping, or planning a company event. She wants them to be successful and have time for other things like growing their business, traveling, volunteering, or furthering their education.

Amy is proficient in American Sign Language (ASL). She has completed the beginner, intermediate, advanced, and plus level classes through Augusta University Health.  Amy she fell in love with the language, culture, and members of the deaf/hard-of-hearing community.

At this time, Amy has completed the USC-Aiken PMP Prep Course and is currently studying to take the PMP exam in the fall.

Lesa Wendeln

VP Communications

Lesa brings over 20 years of experience composed from Quality, Program Management,

Operations, Client Experience, Strategic Thinking, Transformation, and Operational &

Service Excellence. Lesa’s professional career began in 1996 when she leveraged her

industrial engineering management skills to create, develop, and launch a new incentive

program for the cutting facility at Berkline, home furniture industry. Lesa has held many

other positions which include Production Supervisor, Supplier Quality Engineer, Project

Engineer, and Property Manager. Her various leadership positions include multi-product

line Quality Manager, Supplier Quality Manager, Leader of Quality/Engineering/Customer

Experience, Productivity Portfolio Leader, Strategic Leader, Director of Continuous Improvement and Strategy,

Sr. Director of Quality and Process Management, and Principal Program Manager.

Lesa earned her Bachelor’s of Arts in Statistics, Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Engineering Management,

Master’s Degree in Operations, and Master’s Degree in Logistics. She has been recognized with high distinctions

within Innovative Thinking, Social Responsibility, Insightful Expertise, Operational Excellence, Inspiring

Excellence, Growth and Innovation, Inspiring Progress, and Client Experience Excellence.

Lesa is a strong supporter and participant in Habitat for Humanity, American Diabetes Association, American

Heart Association, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and American Cancer Society. She belongs to many business resource

groups to promote growth and development to the military population, women in leadership, project

management, and quality.

Jamie Hill, PMP

VP Programs

Jamie is currently a Program Manager at Booz Allen Hamilton, a Fortune 500 Company, where she’s managing a multi-million-dollar benefit transition program and facilitating virtual training opportunities for Booz Allen Hamilton employees. In this role, she frequently facilitates and hosts WebEx webinars to over 200 people, involving guest speakers from third party vendors to market their training opportunities.

 

Jamie joined the United States Navy in 2000 where she served on five different U.S. vessels and in California, Texas, Bahrain, and Augusta, Georgia. Jamie left the Navy in 2006 to fulfill her dream of earning a college degree and in 2010 she graduated from Augusta University (then Augusta State University) with not one, but two degrees- a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. After graduation, Jamie began working for Booz Allen Hamilton where she discovered her love of project and program management and, in 2018, she earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

VP Professional Development

Revellee is currently a project coordinator for Varen Technologies providing process improvement consultation on a federal contract. She is currently in the Navy Reserves, serving 14 years total Active and Reserve time.

She graduated from Augusta University in 2014 with a BA in Political Science and is currently pursuing her MPS at Penn State in Community and Economic Development.

She is married to Michael McNeill, another PMIAA Member, and has two kids, six and four years old.

Courtney Rudy, PMP

VP Membership

Courtney Rudy, PMP, attended the University of South Alabama and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications-Public Relations in 2003. She was also commissioned into the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant in May 2003.  She served her country as a Logistics and Project Management officer in multiple locations including Italy, Germany, Kentucky, Virginia, Kansas, and North Carolina. She also deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom on two separate occasions. She also attended the premier military school, the Command and General Staff College, Senior Military Leadership School, in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. She received her Masters of Arts in Procurement and Acquisition in 2013, her Masters of Science in Project Management in 2014, and her Masters in Business Administration in 2017.  In September 2015, she received her Project Management Professional Certification. After a twelve-year career, she left the military in May of 2015. She worked with the Washington State Department of Transportation as a Project Manager and Transportation Planning Specialist for two years before moving back to Georgia. While there she served as the Director of Policy and Governance with the PMI Olympia Chapter, as well as the VP of Sponsors. She recently accepted a position with Wells Fargo as a remote Project Manager.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, physical fitness and running, traveling, and the beach.
