Topic: Project management as a life skill

Abstract: Join our panel for a retrospective discussion on lessons learned from many years of facilitating senior projects in the Columbia county school system. Our panel will engage the audience in a discussion on using project management as a life skill to help students develop processes for handling complex tasks. The panel will discuss their methodology and look for ideas to improve upon their concepts.

·         Dr. Brian Campbell, Director of High School Student Learning

·         Dorcas Powell, Lakeside High School Principal

·         Michele Collins, Lakeside High School Teacher and Senior Project Coordinator

  

Bio:

Brian Campbell began his teaching career at Greenbrier High School after graduating from the University of Georgia.  During his time at Greenbrier High School, he was named the  Columbia County School District Teacher of the Year and a Semi-Finalist for the State Teacher of the Year.  After teaching, Dr. Campbell joined Lakeside High School as an assistant principal and registrar.  Following Lakeside High, he became the Assistant Superintendent for Student Learning in Lincoln County and later superintendent.  He is currently the Director of High School Student Learning in the Columbia County School District.
